CincyKids Health Connect
FREE care when and where you need it.
Virtual Urgent Care.
When your child needs to see a pediatric expert right away, CincyKids Health Connect is here for you with video visits from your smartphone or computer. It’s a great option for those times when your primary care provider isn’t available, and you need a quick answer.
You don’t need an appointment – you don’t even need to leave your house. Video visits have a short wait time, are FREE for HealthVine members, and you’ll get the great care you know and expect from Cincinnati Children’s. Don’t know if you are a HealthVine member, click here to get more information.
Your first stop should always be your primary care physician as your place for regular care and they may also have video visits available. In some cases, your primary care provider may not be available, and when that happens, we’re here for you. Video visits address minor injuries and illnesses like coughs, colds, rashes and cuts/skin injuries. If medically appropriate, we can send a prescription to your pharmacy. A consultation is not a guarantee of a prescription. CincyKids Health Connect can see HealthVine patients under the age of 18.
Video visits are available from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They are not the same as in-person evaluations and are not meant for life-threatening situations. For these types of conditions, you need an in-person evaluation at our emergency room locations.

What We Treat
For Minor Illnesses and Injuries
We can evaluate symptoms, including:
Arm/leg pain after an injury
Bites (animal, human, insect)
Colds
Cough, congestion, runny nose
Eye infections
Fever (kids ages 2+)
Flu-like symptoms
Head injury without loss of consciousness
Rashes/skin infection
Skin injuries
Vomiting, diarrhea, constipation
If it’s not an emergency and you’re still not sure whether your child should to be seen in person or treated virtually, we can help. During your video visit, a provider will assess your child and refer you to an in-person visit if necessary. If our provider determines that you need immediate in-person care, you will be referred to your primary care provider, the urgent care or emergency room. Additionally, if needed, we can send a prescription to your pharmacy. This may include an antibiotic, but only if it’s medically necessary to treat a condition that can be diagnosed during a video visit.
Video visits are meant to evaluate minor injuries and illnesses. If your child has a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the emergency room immediately.
