CincyKids Health Connect

CincyKids Health Connect allows patients and their families to connect with a pediatric provider at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center through our telehealth mobile app or web browser when their primary care provider isn’t available.

The CincyKids Health Connect service Minor Illnesses and Injuries is a telehealth service offered by the Division of Emergency Medicine. We see kids with minor illnesses and injuries (minor burns, cuts, rashes, bites, etc.) that are typically evaluated at our urgent care centers.

The Minor Illnesses and Injuries service will see HealthVine (CareSource Medicaid) members at no cost to them. These visits typically cost $46 for patients who are not HealthVine members.

If a patient cannot be treated via video, the clinician will advise on urgency of an in-person visit and level of care that is needed (PCP, Urgent Care, ED) based on established protocols. If appropriate, PCP will be recommended as the first choice during clinic operating hours. PCP will be notified via visit summary when patients are advised to seek in-person care.

CincyKids Health Connect was specifically built to ensure strong communication with primary care providers. During registration, patients select a primary care provider from a list of all regional providers supplied by Cincinnati Children’s. The visit information is then securely sent to the provider. If you are not receiving visit communications, please contact CincyKids Health Connect at 513-803-8353 or cincykidshealthconnect@cchmc.org.

Video visits with Cincinnati Children’s providers will deliver care aligned to our current standards of care for in-person delivery. If we cannot appropriately evaluate a symptom or concern using a video visit, we will ask patients to be seen in-person. We also collect data to look at antibiotic prescribing rates and resolution rates for specific symptoms.

Patient families can download the app by searching for CincyKids Health Connect in the app store or play store or visit us online at WEB site. Families should use their child’s full name, date of birth, gender and zip code when registering so they can be identified as a HealthVine patient with free access.

Patient families who need technical assistance can call 844-747-9518 anytime, or email cincykidshealthconnect@cchmc.org and will receive a response during business hours.
